I wasn't listening to rap at the time so no, I don't remember, but I've heard the songs. Hard to believe a genre could change so much in 15 years. I guess rap was so young that in the early years it evolved rather quickly, like rock... perhaps over the next 20 years we'll see a calcification. And even, at some point, an everything old is new again movement. Which could be nice if the re-retro shit sounds any good.
